Wheelchair Accessibility
Kansas City Repertory Theatre is dedicated to providing an accessible and enjoyable experience to all our patrons. In accordance with ADA guidelines the Helen F. Spencer Theatre and Copaken Stage are ramp-accessible and can accommodate both wheelchair and companion seating. A wheelchair-accessible restroom is located in the lobby on the main floor of both theatres. Both theatres have dedicated accessible parking spaces. Please notify the Rep Box Office when you purchase your tickets if wheelchair accommodations will be required. Informing us prior to your arrival will allow us to make these preparations and make your arrival quick and pleasant ensuring the best possible performance experience for you.

Hearing Enhancement
Both theatres are equipped with an infrared hearing enhancement system. Wireless headphones are available free of charge at the Gift Shop counter in the main lobby.
Signed Performances
One performance of each show is signed for the hearing impaired. See the performance calendars for specific dates or call the Rep Box Office at 816-235-2700 for more information.
Large print and Braille programs upon request
Limited numbers of large print and Braille programs are available. Please contact our House Manager upon arrival or in advance by calling 816-235-2780.
Gift Shop
Visit the Rep's lobby Gift Shop to purchase show mementos, theatre items, T-shirts and more. Subscribers get 20% off.
Refreshments
Snacks, wine, soft drinks and coffee are available before opening curtain and during intermission. For your convenience, they they may be ordered and paid for before the show begins. To further enhance your theatre experience, drinks are allowed in both theatres.
Cameras
For the safety of the actors and in accordance with the rules of Actors Equity Association, the use of all cameras and recording devices in the theatre is prohibited.
Beepers and Cellular Phones
Please remember to switch off beepers, cell phones and electrical devises during the performance.
If You Arrive Late
To be considerate of our actors and other audience members, latecomers will be seated at appropriate times determined by Rep management.
Theatre Tours
Get a behind-the-scenes look at the Rep. Tours begin with a discussion of our company’s history and include set construction techniques, costumes, making props and a tour of the backstage areas.
Tours are not available following student matinee performances.
Please note: Reservations are required and only 10-40 patrons can be accommodated at any one time.

If Your Plans Change
We hate to see empty seats in the theatre. Please consider giving tickets you can't use to family or friends, or donate them back to the Rep Box Office. To count as a donation, tickets must be returned to the Box Office 24-hours prior to show time.

Copaken Stage
Location

Copaken Stage is located downtown at the northeast corner of 13th and Walnut streets, adjacent to the H&R Block World Headquarters and across from the Power & Light District where you can find a variety of restaurants and bars for pre- and post-theatre food and beverages. There are also numerous downtown hotels for comfortable accommodations in all price ranges.
There are numerous restaurants and bars only steps from the theatre. Most are open until 3:00 a.m.
If you are attending a performance on a night when there is also an event at the Sprint Center arena, we suggest that you plan to arrive early as traffic can be heavy during these times.
Parking
Parking is free for Rep patrons in the garage located under the H&R Block building. The garage is accessible from both Main and Walnut between 13th & 14th streets. Please park on levels 2 through 5 (there is no elevator on level 1) and enter the building through the centrally located H&R Block elevator, which will take you directly to the lobby. Patrons may park in the H&R Block garage starting at 5:00 p.m. on weeknights and all day on Saturday and Sunday on performance days only and only if you have tickets for that performance. If you arrive before 6:00 p.m. on weeknights, please press the button at the gate and announce that you are there for the Rep performance.
Amenities
A full-service bar and light snacks are available in the lobby of the theatre. For your convenience, drinks and snacks may be ordered and paid for before the show begins. To enhance your theatre experience, concession drinks are allowed inside the theatre.
Rep gift items such as T-shirts and coffee mugs are available for purchase in the lobby of the theatre. Season ticket holders receive a 20% discount on purchases.
Copaken Stage is handicap accessible. If you require wheelchair or other special seating, please indicate this at the time of your ticket purchase. Click the Accessibility and Services tab above for additional information.

Spencer Theatre
Location
Spencer Theatre is located in the James C. Olson Performing Arts Center on the University of Missouri-Kansas City campus at 4949 Cherry Street. We are only four blocks east of the Country Club Plaza, where you will find a variety of restaurants and bars for pre- and post-theatre food and beverages. Stop by one our many restaurant partners where Rep season ticket holders receive a discount. The Plaza area also has numerous hotels for comfortable accommodations in all price ranges.
Parking
There are two lots immediately to the east of Spencer Theatre and you may also park in levels 5 & 6 of the newly constructed Cherry St. Garage. Although signs may indicate that a faculty/staff permit is required, this is NOT SO during Rep performances. The elevated covered walkway to cross the street to Spencer Theatre is located on level 5. Please note that buses are not permitted to park on the UMKC campus. However, they may park on residential streets surrounding the campus.
Seating Chart
Spencer Theatre is a beautiful state-of-the-art theatre with seating for approximately 630 patrons. The design of the theatre is such that there truly is not a bad seat in the house. The interior of the theatre was renovated in 2002 and there is new comfortable cushioned seating with ample leg room. Click here to see a seating chart for Spencer Theatre.
Amenities and Accessibility
To enhance your theatre experience, drinks are allowed in Spencer Theatre. There is a concession stand located in the lobby of the theatre with a full service bar and light snacks.
A Rep gift shop is also located in the lobby of the theatre. Here you will find KC Rep t-shirts and other gifts. Season ticket holders receive a 20% discount at the gift shop.
