    Director of Finance

    Lighting and Video Supervisor (LVS)
    Kansas City Repertory Theatre (LORT B & D) seeks dynamic individual to lead the Lighting and Video department.  LVS must collaborate with lighting and projection designers, demonstrate knowledge in lighting and video system building, design aesthetic, and implement individual production designs.  LVS will serve as master electrician on all productions and must communicate system plot and implementation plan for an 8 show season, including 1 or 2 musicals, effectively to subordinates.  LVS supervises a department of 3, of which, 2 positions will be new hires with LVS consulted.  LVS will also have working knowledge of video monitor systems and projector set up, rigging, cabling, media server set up, system maintenance and troubleshooting, AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Excel, Lightwright.  Department budget management required.  LVS must have programing experience with Watchout and/or Green Hippo systems and be able to guide projection technician.  Detailed knowledge of current lighting technology, programming ETC Eos, Ion and Obsession II consoles/networking, ETC Sensor Dimmers, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting required.  Successful candidate will have excellent computer and verbal communication skills. Interdepartmental scheduling, space coordination, load in and strike planning with other production department heads a must. LVS has departmental budget supervision.  LVS will seek and hire spot ops and overhire electricians as needed.   Ability to work at heights, good night vision and hearing, and ability to lift 65 lbs required.  Previous experience as LORT Lighting and/or Video department head or equivalent required.  LVS is a full time, annual, benefited position.  Immediate opening, start date negotiable.     Audio Supervisor
    Kansas City Repertory Theatre (LORT B and D), seeks dynamic individual to lead the sound department.   Audio Supervisor (AS) must collaborate with sound designers, demonstrate knowledge in system building, design aesthetic, and implement individual production designs.  AS must communicate system plot and implementation plan for all show, effectively to subordinates.  AS supervises 2 positions.  Experience with multi-track recording, mixing and mastering using Pro Tools, QLab operation and troubleshooting, knowledge of sound reinforcement systems, troubleshooting and repair of digital and analog sound equipment and Com gear required.     Projection Technician
    Kansas City Repertory Theatre seeks projection technician for 2014-15 season.  Applicants should have 2 years professional theatre experience with Video projection operation.  Detailed knowledge of projector set up, rigging, cabling, media server set up, system maintenance and troubleshooting required.  Experience programing Watchout and/or Green Hippo required.  Candidate must have excellent computer and communication skills.  Ability to work at heights, good night vision and hearing, and ability to lift 65 lbs required.  Responsibilities include assisting projection designer, gear load in and set up, operation of projection equipment during all KC Rep show and special events.  Position is part of electrics department and will serve as an electrician on shows without projections as directed by supervisor.  Starts August 4, 2014 expected through May 3, 2015.  Email letter, resume and references to: Jerry Genochio, Producing Director, Kansas City Repertory Theatre, genochioj@kcrep.org   AA/EOE

  • Internships and Job Shadowing

    Internships

    Kansas City Repertory Theatre's Internship Program is focused on creating opportunities for collaborative relationships between high school and college-aged students and the KC Rep's experienced theatre professionals. This program will use a combination of hands-on experience, professional training and mentorships to introduce students to the skills required to become the next generation of artists and arts administrators. We are committed to encouraging and guiding students through the transition from student to professional and tailor each internship experience to the current needs of our organization and to the experience and objectives of the intern.

    Arts Management Internships are designed for candidates who intend to make arts administration their profession. Intern schedules are negotiable, but would typically fall between the hours of 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday- Friday. Creative and Production interns are flexible and would include evening and weekend hours.

    Internships are unpaid but students are encouraged to apply for college credit through their respective universities.

    All Interns will be provided with hands-on, real world experience in a professional theatre environment. Interns will be full members of their departments, requiring them to attend appropriate departmental and staff meetings. The KC Rep Theatre's staff will provide each intern with training, guidance, and professional knowledge.
