Workshops
Kansas City Repertory Theatre values lifelong education and provides a variety of workshops to support the range of needs within our community.
Designed to fit your needs!
If your group is interested in a more detailed exploration of the theatrical creative process—acting technique, technical production or another special topic, an affordable workshop can be designed to suit your needs.
To develop your workshop, please contact our Director of Education and Community Programs at 816-235-5708 or educate@kcrep.org.
For Students
Interactive sessions with actors and other theatre artists stimulate students and prepare your group to attend the theatre. Workshops -- at the Rep or at your location -- can be designed especially for your organization and scheduled in conjunction with your group's trip to a performance at the theatre.
Former youth workshops have included sessions on Diction and Dialects, Playwrighting, Boy and Girl Scout Badge Achievement, Mask Performance, and Acting Shakespeare.
All the world’s a stage. We have a way to help you discover your role in the theatre!
For Teachers
Staff development workshops incorporate theatre in the classroom, curriculum integration and critical thinking skills to maximize instructional opportunities in creative and relevant ways.
Contact us at 816-235-2707 or educate@kcrep.org to develop a workshop that meets the needs of your educational community today.
For Artists
For Performing Artists Kansas City is home to a thriving performing arts community. Led by experts working to inspire constant growth and creativity for the theatre artist at all levels, these high-level classes teach script analysis, auditioning, performance and directing skills within a masterclass format.
