Groups and Corporate Pricing

Thank you for your interest in attending the Kansas City Repertory Theatre with your group! 

Discounts are available for groups of 10 or more. For A Christmas Carol, discounts are available for groups of 15 or more. Below you will find information about benefits to group ticket buyers, group ticket prices, policies, theatre info and reception information. (Click here for a printable version of this section.)

WHO SHOULD ATTEND AS A GROUP

Anyone is the short answer, but here are a few ideas for you to consider…

• Friends & Family!  How long has it been since you have seen each other?  The Rep provides the perfect opportunity for an evening out together. 
• Great outing for church groups, universities, scouts, book clubs and social groups! 
• Hold your next office party at the Rep.  It’s a perfect way to say “thank-you” to your employees.
• Client Appreciation!  There’s no better idea than giving your best clients season tickets to Kansas City’s premier performing arts and entertainment venue. 
• Attention Fundraisers!  Ask how group tickets can serve as an amazing opportunity for non-profit organizations, booster clubs and PTA’s to raise lots of money. 

GROUP BENEFITS

• Save money!  Not only will you receive discounts on ticket prices, you will also not be asked to pay the per ticket service charge that single ticket buyers are required to pay. 
• Order Early!  Groups are able to purchase tickets before the general public.  If fact, groups can purchase at anytime for any show throughout the season.  
• Best Seats Available!  Don’t worry about having to pay more to have better seats any longer.  Groups pay one price for the best seats available at the time you reserve. 
• Customize Your Experience!  Do you have a request to make your trip to the Rep special, or would you like to plan a pre-show reception in one of our private spaces?  Just let us know and we can help you finalize all the details. 
• Keep it simple!  Coming to the Rep as a group is anything but complicated.  Just one call to Group Sales can help you get organized to pick a date, purchase tickets and have a great experience. 
• Pre/Post Show Ideas!  Let us recommend a great place to eat, stay or hold an off site reception before or after the performance.

GROUP INFORMATION ABOUT SPENCER THEATRE

Parking - Ample parking lots and side streets for automobiles, buses and limos. 

On-Site Reception Space Rental - Spencer Theatre Founders Lounge is $25 per hour, 3 hour minimum (15 person dinner max, 60 person reception max)

Bartender - $25 per hour, 3 hour minimum (required if alcohol is served, does not include cost of alcohol, alcohol should be provided by you or your caterer)

Caterer - Feel free to use whatever caterer you would like, however please notify us of your choice so we know who to expect.  Some suggested caterers that have held successful events at the Rep are:

Group Photograph – Free, but must be arranged with Group Sales prior to event.  Photo will be e-mailed to group.  Groups must arrive 30 min prior to show time for regular productions, and 60 min to show time for ACC

2008-2009 Season Shows at Copaken:  Clay, The Glass Menagerie, and The Borderland

Parking – Parking is available in a lot beneath Copaken Stage with entrance just south of 13th Street, both on Walnut and Main.  Parking is free for current season ticket holders.  Non-season ticket holders pay $5 per car, $15 per car when Sprint Center has an event.  No designated parking for buses or limos; drivers must find street parking. 

On-Site Reception Space Rental – Copaken Stage Reception Lounge is $25 per hour, 3 hour minimum (25 person dinner max, 75 person reception max)

Bartender – On site bartender for Copaken Stage must be used.  Between $7.50 and $25.00 per person (includes alchol, prices subject to 20% service charge plus state and local taxes)

Caterer – On site caterer for Copaken Stage must be used.  Full catering menu available for custom events.  Please call KC Rep Group Sales for details and menu.

GROUP SALES POLICIES

10 tickets are required to qualify for all group rates, except for A Christmas Carol which requires 15 tickets to qualify for group rates.  If your group number falls below the required minimum, you will be required to pay the difference between group rates and single ticket rates, as well as any applicable fees.   

Groups reserving tickets more than 30 days prior to the performance may either pay in full at the time the reservation is made, or hold the tickets with a non-refundable down payment of $5 per ticket with a minimum of $200. 

Group tickets reserved within 30 days of the performance must be paid in full at the time the reservation is made.

Once the payment is made in full, decreasing the number of tickets or changing the date of the order will not be permitted.  However, additional tickets will still be able to be purchased at the group rate with the group as along as availability in the theatre can accommodate your request.  

Kansas City Repertory Theatre does not cancel performances due to inclement weather.  Kansas City Repertory Theatre shall be under no liability for failure of the group to attend in the event that such failure is caused by, or due to, inclement weather, interruption or delay of transportation services, or any other similar or dissimilar cause beyond the control of the company. Kansas City Repertory Theatre does not issue refunds or exchanges due to inclement weather or any of the above reason. 

All sales are final.  There will be no refunds for down payment, tickets purchased or tickets not used.

All receptions must be scheduled 10 business days prior to performance date.

Kansas City Repertory Theatre will not be responsible for payment to caterers.    

Employee Share

Corporations can offer their employees discounts on package and individual show tickets by subsidizing up to 50% of the ticket cost. The Rep handles all details of the program, making it one of the easiest and most flexible employee benefit plans available. Your company's participation may be regarded as a tax deductible business expense. If you would like information about joining our Employee Share Plan, please call our Manager of Sales at 816-235-2786. Hot Tix

Starting at noon on the day of a performance, all remaining tickets for that day are available for $15 each. Tickets must be purchased in person, at either the Central Ticket Office located in the lobby of the UMKC Performing Arts Center at 4949 Cherry Street, or the Copaken Stage Box Office at 1 H&R Block Way (13th & Main). Tickets must be paid for with cash or check (no credit cards). Hot Tix are not available for Clay or A Christmas Carol.

UMKC Faculty/Staff

UMKC Faculty/Staff receives a 50% discount on subscriptions. You can use payroll deduction to pay for your subscription. Just call Ticketing Services at 2700 to order your subscription and then download and complete this form and send through campus mail to 4825 Troost, Suite 209. Download form

NEW! UMKC Faculty/Staff also receives a 50% discount on single tickets.

UMKC Students

UMKC Students may purchase tickets in advance for the student ticket price. UMKC Students may also purchase tickets starting at noon on the day of a performance for that night's performance for only $5. These tickets must be purchased in person at the Central Ticket Office located in the lobby of the UMKC Performing Arts Center at 4949 Cherry Street.

UMKC Alumni

UMKC Alumni receive a 20% discount on subscriptions and single tickets. To receive your discount, you must purchase your tickets by calling 816-235-2700 or by mail.
